ASMR

28/08/2018

Have you ever experienced a pleasant shiver on hearing certain sounds or whispers, without being able to explain it?

Well here’s why: it’s actually a phenomenon that was officially named in 2010 as the Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, gaining more and more fans every day. ASMR is, in fact, a new phenomenon of well-being, relaxation and profound release in response to an external stimulus, usually audio-visual.

The ASMR phenomenon really evolved on YouTube, with thousands of videos created by ASMR "artists”, though not everyone has the same reactions. While some discover, thanks to ASMR, why they experienced this sensation that they thought affected only them, others are simply not as receptive. They seem to just not experience the same “switch” of relaxation when watching these calming videos, and don’t feel the so-called “cerebral orgasm” others do.

Stress, fear, lying awake at night… ASMR is invaluable in helping people in these everyday issues that affect us all. So if you haven’t tried it yet, why don’t you see what ASMR can do for you?
