Can some food increase the possibility of developing cancer? As far as today’s experts know, the answer is a resounding yes! In France, particularly, certain forms of cancer are associated with excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Benzopyrenes: these carcinogenic substances form when you smoke food like fish or meat and increase the risk of intestinal cancers developing. To reduce exposure, the use of nitrites is now rigorously controlled;

Nitrosamines: found in cured meats and dried fish, these carcinogens increase the risk of liver, pancreatic, esophageal, and lung cancer. You should also be wary of overindulging in barbecued meat, which also contain this substance.
