Gradually becoming the "alternative" to classic cigarettes, e-cigarettes are nevertheless still not fully assessed, especially in terms of the harm they could potentially cause. Let’s look at what we know so far.

One thing is clear: a great number of smokers have taken up smoking e-cigarettes as an alternative in the hopes of cutting down or quitting smoking.
Still, there is a problem. The data on e-cigarettes is highly controversial. For every study that reports its harmless effects, another demonstrates its harmful damage.
Using e-cigarettes containing nicotine does, in fact, still cause addiction and can increase heart rhythm. What’s more, the device itself is problematic as cases of people being wounded by exploding e-cigarettes have been reported.
So until we get more data, it’s advisable to be cautious about e-cigarettes and use them a little as possible.
