Congratulations to Pr. Camilleri and colleagues for the publication of their article in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology on the treatment of patients with Kommerell's diverticulum. We are proud to have been able to contribute to the success of this article.

Kommerell's diverticulum (KD) is a malformation corresponding to a dilatation of the initial part of the descending aorta, which can in some cases compress the esophagus. To date, no guidelines have been proposed for the treatment of patients with this type of vascular anomaly. The article describes four cases of patients with a right aortic arch and an abnormal left subclavian artery due to KD.

The patients were all treated by endovascular surgery. The strategies were effective and no major adverse events were reported in the postoperative period. The endovascular approach is less invasive and improves postoperative outcomes compared to conventional surgery.
