A new year has begun. Following the festive season, taking up jogging may be a smart move. It may even help cleanse your body of toxins, helping you get back in top form fast. Here, we share with you some advice from a former marathon runner!

Choose the best time to run! It’s up to you to decide what time is the most convenient for you. It may be in the morning before going to work, or you might prefer to jog at lunchtime, or in the evening, after work. Furthermore, it’s important to choose the best place to jog. Avoid wasting precious time by jogging somewhere close to your home or workplace.

Avoid the classic mistakes! To begin with, you should take things a step at a time. Don’t try to skip ahead by starting off at a very rapid pace. It’s better find your own comfortable pace and keep going for longer. What’s more, it’s essential to drink plenty of fluids before and after your running session. In hot weather, you might even want to drink during the run.

The most important thing is to take a slow and steady approach by progressively increasing your running time and distance.
